Takuri was born in Antofagasta, a northern Chilean harbour, in 1970. he began exploring folk music in his late teenage years while traveling around the country. In 2000 he got together a group of musicians and as a lead singer he founded Psico Andino, a rock band with a strong social message. This project evolved into what is now Wira Sasha. On stage he is a passionate performer with a strong presence.
